FOREST BESTIARY

The contents of this FOREST BESTIARY complete the description of my present work on the THE FOREST series (2005), an extensive whole made with graphic palette and computer according to the conversion of my traditional procedures -oil, watercolor, gouache…- to the digital realm. It includes prints on photographic paper, literary texts, installations with unbaked figures and therefore ephimeral, and
two audio-visual pieces, one a 3D creation where the characters and the plastic work is presented in motion, and the other a recreation of vegetation with a color treatment.

What is shown in this FOREST BESTIARY is the continuity of the work. Given the transition from traditional techniques to new technologies, at this moment I’m considering the extension to sculptoric modelling as a return to handwork and the lasting object. Investigating red clay and ceramics, the kiln, the different ways of baking – I’ve got into the kitchen…
